Despite
of those advancement and ability, biological factors also contribute to a
sedentary lifestyle. This is according to British Heart and Foundation Center
(2012) that sedentary lifestyle generally increases with age and it is usually
women who practice this kind of lifestyle. But when reaching 60 years old, men
are usually practice this lifestyle more. Other than adult, kids and teens also
affected with this lifestyle. This is due to the amount of screen time spent in
their daily routine. As development of technology occurs, smartphone has being teens’
best buddies during leisure times.
Other
than that, social or cultural factors also the reason why sedentary lifestyle
happens. It is said that youngsters tend to have practiced sedentary lifestyle
nowadays. Due to the ability to own computers and televisions at home, they
tend to not going anywhere and just sit or lay on their bed wasting their time playing
games and watching movies.
